There's already been too many pieces of writing describing the extent of destruction wrought by typhoon Haiyan on my country, so I won't talk about that anymore. Even though we lost our house. And our pets. And all the family pictures. *sobs* The important thing is that my family's safe and sound.
Medschool is going great actually. It was pretty hard to adjust to the sheer amount of information I need to memorize and recall efficiently, but somehow, I adapted. It's like highschool. Only it's big, buff highschool on steroids. The laboratory exams were especially difficult, but it was manageable. I mean, one minute to identify up to 6 structures and/or functions on a shrunken brain specimen? Pleaaase. After a while, my mind started to swim in a sea of, um, brains. Maybe it was the formaldehyde. Maybe it's just impossible! Anyway, I managed to pass everything. It's also a small miracle that I'm able to keep all my hobbies going, and find the time to draw my occasional doodle and sing an occasional song. I hear second year isn't going to be as lax as this year though. I might not be able to work on drawing for as long as I'd like. But on the brighter side of things, I get free anatomy lessons. I hope that helps me draw better.
By the way... Merry Christmas!
